We were tasked with creating a series of short 10 to 20 second videos based on a few sayings or phrases supplied by Shutterstock. These phrases or sayings were extremely vague and so we had to interpret what they meant to us. We needed to use our creativity to come up with interesting short videos. Shutterstock would then choose a few of the best videos from our university and add them to their site. We were allowed to use any effects or animation we saw fit and so we decided to use a mixture of illustration, film and animation to create our videos.
For this example, we used the phrase ‘Journey and Discovery’ as our inspiration. Being creatives, we decided to express this journey and discovery as the creative process, going through the journey of brainstorming and eventually discovering a solution to the problem at hand or discovering how to go about the next project.
